Reducing Scope 3 Emissions Through CO2-Free Electricity at Facilities and Decarbonized On-Site Construction

Environmental Value
NX Engineering Co., LTD.

NX Engineering Co., Ltd. implements robust decarbonization initiatives to support the NX Group's 2030 CO2 emissions reduction targets(*).
To reduce direct emissions (Scope 1 and 2), the company completed the transition to CO2-free electricity at all domestic sites using high-voltage power. This transition significantly reduced energy-related CO2 emissions from business operations.

NX Engineering also focuses on decarbonizing on-site construction to help reduce emissions in customer supply chains (Scope 3). Efforts here include using off-grid houses (which use solar panels and battery storage to generate electricity for temporary site offices), introducing biofuel in generators, transitioning to environmentally friendly business vehicles, and installing EV charging infrastructure. In gradually implementing highly effective measures, the company strives to reduce environmental impact.
NX Engineering's robust efforts are summarized in the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Leaflet, which is used as a tool to propose decarbonization solutions to customers.
In line with the NX Group Sustainability Policy, NX Engineering will continue to engage in business activities that reduce the environmental impact of both the company and its customers, striving to help achieve a carbon-neutral society and protect the global environment.
