Leveraging design expertise and technical capabilities cultivated over many years, we support construction projects with stringent constraints across a wide range of sectors, including power generation facilities, industrial plants, transportation infrastructure, and advanced industrial equipment.

Substation Equipment

As an industry leader, we provide optimal transportation using proprietary vehicles and specialized railcars. From large transformers weighing up to 200 tons to various types of substation equipment, we provide comprehensive support for both transportation and installation.

Features

• We operate specialized equipment such as the “240-ton Schnabel trailer,” capable of transporting transformers weighing up to 240 tons—the largest in Japan—as well as dedicated railcars (Shiki freight cars) for rail transport. By combining trailer and rail transport, we reduce the load on bridges and roads while achieving environmentally responsible transportation.
• We support the transportation and on-base installation of a wide range of substation equipment, including transformers, reactors, GIS, and control panels.
• Even at substations where crane installation is difficult or where site constraints such as limited space, ground bearing capacity, or existing facilities exist, we ensure safe and reliable installation through construction planning tailored to site conditions.
• We possess proprietary bridge passage technologies, including over-bridge reinforcement and under-bridge reinforcement, enabling us to overcome bridge load restrictions.
• Working in close collaboration with electric utilities and EPC contractors, we manage schedule, safety, and quality in an integrated manner.

Wind Power Generation Facilities

We hold the top market share in Japan for transportation and installation of wind power generation facilities. Leveraging extensive experience and proprietary technologies, we support the deployment of wind power both onshore and offshore.

Features

• We have handled approximately 70% of wind turbines installed in Japan, supported by extensive experience and expertise.
• From preliminary surveys and route studies to construction planning, transportation, and on-site installation, we provide end-to-end support for wind power projects.
• Using proprietary equipment such as our Blade Upright Transport System (patented) and specialized vehicles capable of transporting blades exceeding 50 meters and nacelles weighing around 80 tons, we enable transportation to mountainous areas and locations with challenging road conditions.
• We have been involved in the construction of some of the largest offshore wind farms in Japan, contributing to the expansion of renewable energy.

LNG and Hydrogen Power Generation Facilities

We support the construction of next-generation energy power plants, including LNG and hydrogen, contributing to the realization of a decarbonized society. In power plant construction projects, we provide integrated services ranging from transportation of large equipment to on-site delivery and installation.

Features

• For major power plant components such as gas turbines, boilers, steam turbines, and generators, we develop transportation plans tailored to site conditions and transport them using specialized vehicles.
• For large equipment arriving via sea transport, we develop detailed plans based on port conditions and transportation constraints, ensuring safe and reliable delivery even under challenging working conditions.

Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment

We provide integrated services covering the transportation, delivery, installation, and assembly of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Building on proprietary technologies developed through heavy equipment transportation and installation, we design optimal transport and delivery methods tailored to equipment characteristics and installation conditions, supporting smooth equipment installation.

• Using proprietary equipment such as special lifting-compatible containers, we maintain high transport quality by controlling vibration and shock during transportation.
• Leveraging the precise installation technologies developed in heavy equipment construction, we provide integrated services including installation and assembly work inside cleanrooms.

Transportation Infrastructure Development

For more than half a century, we have supported the development of Japan’s transportation infrastructure through Shinkansen rolling stock transportation and bridge erection projects. Using specialized equipment such as proprietary transport dollies, trailers, and large cranes, we provide integrated support from transportation to erection.

• Since the early days of the Shinkansen, we have handled the overland transportation of railway rolling stock, backed by extensive experience and advanced technical expertise. Using proprietary trailers, we provide integrated transport from factories to rail depots.
• Leveraging the knowledge and technology accumulated through over 50 years of bridge construction projects, we propose optimal erection methods tailored to site conditions and bridge structures.
• We own specialized equipment required for transportation infrastructure projects, including large cranes and special trailers, enabling us to undertake projects on a full turnkey basis.
• We are capable of carrying out construction work under strict traffic restrictions and limited operational windows, minimizing the impact on surrounding areas.

Overseas Projects

Leveraging the NX Group’s global logistics infrastructure and overseas network, we provide integrated support from transportation of heavy equipment to installation work in overseas projects.

Features

• For transportation from locations around the world, we investigate ports of origin and destination, transport routes, permits, and import/export customs procedures, and develop optimal transportation plans. We provide one-stop services from transport to installation.
• We operate bases in Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, participating in construction projects for power generation facilities and petrochemical plants that support the transition to a decarbonized society.
• Even under harsh environments such as high-altitude or extremely cold regions, we ensure safe and reliable transportation and installation through strict safety and quality management.
