Proposal to Cut CO₂ Emissions Through Joint Cross-Border Truck Transportation for the Electronic Components Industry

Nippon Express NEC Logistics Singapore Pte. Ltd. and Nippon Express NEC Logistics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., subsidiaries of Nittsu NEC Logistics Co., Ltd., offer a joint cross-border truck transportation from Singapore to Thailand as a service designed to help customers reduce CO₂ emissions. This service provides end-to-end lead times comparable to air cargo transportation and enables a 75% reduction in CO₂ emissions, aligning with customer needs in sustainability initiatives. The service is mainly for electronic components, which requires high-quality transportation. Preliminary shipment vibration testing confirmed that the maximum vibration levels during transportation were less than half of those recorded in air cargo transportation. Joint cross-border truck transportation also provides an accessible service option for customers who hesitate to adopt environmentally friendly solutions due to concerns about quality or cost.

Nittsu NEC Logistics will continue proposing solutions to further support customer CO₂ reduction efforts, while also exploring the expansion of service lanes based on customer needs.
