Nittsu NEC Logistics Co., Ltd.
Nittsu NEC Logistics Co., Ltd. regularly reviews its energy use, revises energy efficiency and non-fossil transition initiatives, and develops corresponding plans. The company then reports to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in accordance with the Act on Rationalization of Energy Use and Shift to Non-fossil Energy (Energy Conservation Act) as a high energy-consuming enterprise.
METI evaluates each company based on its submitted reports, assigning one of three ranks: S (Excellent), A (Needs Further Effort), or B (Stagnant). The Ministry publishes the names of S-ranked companies on its website as excellent enterprises. (*1)
Nittsu NEC Logistics initially received a B rating. However, the company earned an A rating for three consecutive years starting in fiscal 2019, followed by an S rating for the three consecutive years from fiscal 2022 to fiscal 2024 as a result of continuous environmental measures. These measure included switching to LED lighting, introducing EVs and hybrid vehicles, and reducing electricity use by attaching static elimination sheets to HVAC units. (As announced on the METI website on April 18, 2025) The company will continue implementing environmental measures and contribute to better living and a more sustainable society.
