Environmental Value

Osaka Warehouse Co., Ltd. celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021. The company expanded into various businesses in Osaka (and Yawata City, Kyoto) throughout its history, including into the warehousing business, focusing on hazardous materials and temperature-controlled warehousing of regular products. The company also expanded into the sub-leasing business, specializing in logistics real estate, as well as into real estate business, focusing on company-owned real estate leasing.

The company participates in the Osaka Prefecture SDGs Declaration Project (*1), declaring its commitment to society by providing environmentally friendly services. Although the Osaka Warehouse real estate business emits only a small amount of CO2, tenants use a significant amount of electricity using the facilities. In response, Osaka Warehouse established facilities to help increase the use of renewable energy as a part of their SDGs initiatives, offering renewable energy to rental property tenants through PPA(*2) The company also strengthened their proposals for conventional tenant properties in commercial property leasing services, proposing switches to LED lighting and thermal insulation coatings for property warehouse roofs. Such proposals helped lower tenant consumption of fossil fuel electricity and fees, as well as CO2 emissions, receiving a certain degree of positive feedback from tenants.

Osaka Warehouse is committed to conserving the environment in the Kansai economic zone through properties that offer the added value of being environmentally and ecologically friendly.
