On this day in 2024, Nippon Express (China) Co., Ltd. held a tree-planting event at the Qingpu District warehouse site in Shanghai. Forty-five employees and their families participated in the event and planted cherry blossom trees (Somei-yoshino). Participants, who normally have little contact with each other at work, enjoyed working and talking together under the perfect weather. Although the 10 trees planted this day may only reduce a negligible amount of CO2 emissions, the opportunity for employees and their families to raise their awareness of the natural environment and social contribution through the tree planting activity was priceless.
