NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC. (President: Satoshi Horikiri), on June 13 acquired a stake in enstem Inc. (President: Hirotaka Yamamoto, hereinafter "enstem"), a developer and provider of industry-specific services for non-desk workers that use smartwatch biometric data, as an investment for the NX Global Innovation Fund, and concluded a capital and business collaboration agreement with enstem.
■Profile of enstem
enstem is a startup company founded in June 2019 with the vision of "awakening undiscovered human potential and helping everyone live their best lives". The company develops solutions using biometric data analysis acquired from smartwatches and currently offers two principal services: "Nobi for Driver" and "MAMORINU".
Launched in June 2022, "Nobi for Driver" is a service dedicated to driver health management that utilizes vital data information such as the driver's location and heart rate obtained from a smartwatch to prevent accidents caused by health problems as well as drowsiness.
"MAMORINU", brought to market in June 2024, is a safety management and operational improvement service specifically designed for on-site workers in warehouses, factories, etc., as well as medical personnel. It visualizes the real-time workloads of on-site workers and other personnel and detects abnormalities to establish safer and more efficient work environments.

■Initiatives
1.Utilizing "Nobi for Driver" within the NX Group
The Group will make use of "Nobi for Driver" to visualize and manage heart rate data in real time with the aim of preventing traffic accidents due to drowsy driving by detecting drowsiness as well as occupational accidents caused by heat stroke.
2.Cooperating to expand sales of services provided by enstem
Traffic accidents caused by health problems such as falling asleep at the wheel and heat stroke are social issues shared across the logistics industry, and the Group will work to resolve these social issues by expanding sales of enstem's services through NX Shoji Co., Ltd.
3.Collaborating in the development of new functions and services
The Group will utilize the experience and knowledge it has accumulated to date in working together with enstem to develop new services that improve working environments and safety measures for drivers and workers, that reduce accident rates and that improve work efficiency. With a view to future collaboration overseas, the NX Group will also contribute to the development of sustainable societies globally by jointly developing services that address the logistics issues faced by individual countries.
