--23,500m2 temperature-/humidity-controlled logistics base constructed in northern Vietnam--
Nippon Express Engineering (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. (President: Masahiro Suzuki; hereinafter "NX Engineering Vietnam"), a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC. (President: Satoshi Horikiri), held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Haiphong Logistics Center (Phase 2) in Haiphong, an important port city in northern Vietnam, on Thursday, June 13.

Haiphong and its suburbs in northern Vietnam are home to many industrial parks where Japanese and various other foreign manufacturers have set up operations. Thanks to a deep-water international port with easy logistics access to destinations inside and outside Asia, the area also serves as the gateway to northern Vietnam. The Haiphong Logistics Center run by NX Engineering Vietnam began its first phase of operations in 2015, and the newly constructed Phase 2 center is due to be completed at the end of February 2025 and to begin operations in March.
To meet the diverse needs of customers, the Logistics Center is equipped with several constant-temperature storage rooms that can be temperature-controlled for the goods stored there as well as with a sizable air-conditioning system to cope with Vietnam's distinctive high-humidity environment. This allows humidity to be kept below 70% at all times, creating an optimal environment for the storage of medical devices, electronic equipment and other high value-added products that require temperature and humidity control. Completion of this Phase 2 Center will give NX Engineering Vietnam a logistics base with approximately 23,500m2 of warehouse area, further strengthening its logistics capacity in northern Vietnam.
The NX Group will continue expanding its global logistics network and utilizing its extensive logistics expertise to support customers' global supply chains.
