Located in Central Asia, Kazakhstan sits at the heart of the Eurasian continent, and approximately 50 Japanese companies are presently operating in the country.

Kazakhstan also occupies a strategic location for rail transport connecting East Asia and Europe. Nippon Express began cross-border rail transport services spanning the Eurasian continent between China and Europe in November 2015, and it has been steadily enhancing these services ever since.

Welcoming the distinguished guests at the Head Office were President Mitsuru Saito, Senior Managing Executive Officer Satoshi Horikiri and other company representatives. After briefing the visitors on Nippon Express and its business operations, its efforts in the East Asia region connected with Kazakhstan, and its plans for future expansion, they engaged in an exchange of views on the future potential of the logistics business in Kazakhstan.

Going forward, Nippon Express will be stepping up its efforts in Central Asia and other untapped markets to meet the logistics needs of its customers around the world.
