Nippon Express participates in 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE)

Introduces visitors to logistics solutions available in China

Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Mitsuru Saito, President), participated in the 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE) held in Shanghai, China over the six-day period Tuesday, November 5 - Sunday, November 10, with Nippon Express' East Asia Region taking part in CIIE for a second year.

The inaugural CIIE was held in November of last year as a general trade show focusing exclusively on imports to China. Joining in this year's second expo were more than 3,800 companies/groups from 181 countries/regions and international organizations, and the venue hosted a cumulative total of 910,000 visitors during the event.

Nippon Express was represented at the November 5 opening ceremony by President Mitsuru Saito and Managing Executive Officer Tatsuo Sugiyama, Regional General Manager, East Asia Region.

The Company's exhibition booth introduced Nippon Express' air/ocean cargo forwarding services, China-Europe cross-border rail transport services, analyses utilizing customers' Big Data to determine the optimal sites for logistics hubs, and other services offered as logistics solutions in China, drawing in 3,000 or so visitors from around 2,000 companies, among them buyers from inside and outside China as well as government officials.

In participating in CIIE, Nippon Express is looking to support its customers' business expansion in the East Asia region by deepening relations with these customers, strengthening ties with relevant organizations, and finding new partners.
