Nippon Express (Taiwan) holds 30th Anniversary Ceremony

Nippon Express (Taiwan) Co., Ltd. (Masaaki Kajii, Chairman & CEO; hereinafter, "NE Taiwan"), a local subsidiary of Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Mitsuru Saito, President), held a commemorative ceremony in Taipei on Saturday, February 3, to mark the 30th anniversary of its founding.

Among the 200 or so guests attending the ceremony were Mitsuhiro Yokota, Deputy Representative of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association, Shen Jong-chin, Minister of Economic Affairs, Republic of China, Theodore M.H. Huang, Chairman, TECO Group and Honorary Chairman, Chinese National Association of Industry and Commerce, Taiwan, and other key figures from Taiwan's political and business establishment, representatives of customer and partner companies with close ties to Nippon Express, and President Mitsuru Saito and Managing Executive Officer and East Asia Regional General Manager Tatsuo Sugiyama from Nippon Express.

At the ceremony, NE Taiwan Chairman and CEO Kajii expressed his thanks to the company's customers, suppliers, partners and employees for their past and ongoing support, mentioned that NE Taiwan had obtained a trucking business license and would begin newly offering transport services within Taiwan using company-owned trucks, and announced that, with one of its warehouses in the Taoyuan area having obtained a bonded warehousing license, the company would also be expanding into the provision of bonded logistics services.

To help realize an even better future for its customers and for Taiwan, NE Taiwan is committed to offering new services and "creating new ideas and value that expand the field of logistics" as advocated in the Nippon Express Group Corporate Philosophy.
