Nippon Express concludes partnership agreement with Plug and Play Japan

Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Mitsuru Saito, President) has concluded a partnership agreement with Plug and Plan Japan Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, "Plug and Play Japan") that will take effect in Japan from April.

Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Plug and Play is one of the world's top global venture capital accelerators, working alongside major companies to support startups offering innovative technologies and ideas. It has supported more than 2,000 companies since its establishment in 2006, and last year (2017) it assisted more than 460 startups and invested in more than 264 companies through its programs. Plug and Play Japan was founded in July 2017 as the firm's branch in Japan.

By concluding this new partnership, Nippon Express and Plug and Play Japan will be engaging with and uncovering venture companies that investigate, research, develop, or already possess various cutting-edge technologies, and these efforts are expected to contribute to the development of not only the Nippon Express Group but the entire logistics industry as well.

As a top company within the logistics industry, Nippon Express hopes to contribute to society as a whole by playing a leading role in finding practical applications for cutting-edge logistics technologies and utilizing a variety of methods to achieve greater efficiency in logistics.
