Nippon Express Global Logistics (Shanghai) granted continuation of Advanced Certified Enterprise (ACE) certification by China Customs

First company, Chinese or foreign, to receive ACE certification from Shanghai Waigaoqiao Customs

Nippon Express Global Logistics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (Masaru Okano, Managing Director), a local subsidiary of Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Kenji Watanabe, President), has been awarded continued certification as an Advanced Certified Enterprise (ACE), the highest status under China's Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) classification system, by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Customs, becoming the first company, Chinese or foreign, to have its ACE certification renewed by Waigaoqiao Customs. On February 13 Waigaoqiao Customs Deputy Director Le Ping visited the company to participate in an award ceremony.

When China's AEO certification system was launched on December 1, 2014, companies holding the highest rank of "AA" under the previous system were automatically granted ACE status. Certification renewal requires strict screening, and Nippon Express Global Logistics (Shanghai)'s internal control system and its active cooperation with Customs were key factors in being re-certified as an ACE.

Elsewhere in the Nippon Express Group, Nippon Express (China) Co., Ltd. (Sumitoshi Matsuo, President), last September became the first Japanese customs broker to have its ACE certification renewed by Beijing Customs.

This extension of ACE status will allow Nippon Express Global Logistics (Shanghai) to continue meeting customer needs quickly and smoothly.

Nippon Express remains committed to providing high-quality services in support of its customers' supply chains.
