Nippon Express Indonesia receives AEO certification from Indonesia's Custom & Excises

PT. Nippon Express Indonesia (Tetsuji Yonaiyama, President), a local subsidiary of Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Mitsuru Saito, President), has been certified as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) by Indonesia's Directorate General of Custom and Excises. A ceremony for the presentation of a certificate by the Director General of Custom and Excises was held on October 12 at Jakarta International Expo.

The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) system offers simplified customs clearance procedures and other benefits to companies with proper cargo security management and compliance systems and, with the Directorate General of Custom and Excises committed to pursuing measures that facilitate trade, the AEO system is designed to establish closer ties between AEOs and the Directorate General of Custom and Excises to accelerate import/export procedures.

Nippon Express Group companies have been certified in 12 countries/regions in Europe and six in Asia (Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and India) in recognition of the quality of their customs clearance procedures and security measures, and this latest certification in Indonesia brings the Group total to 19 countries/regions.
