Businesses of two local subsidiaries in India to be restructured
Nittsu Logistics (India) Private Limited (President: Masato Asahi), an Indian subsidiary of Nippon Express Co, Ltd. (President: Kenji Watanabe), will begin operations on July 1, 2016 as a company specializing in Indian domestic logistics.
Nippon Express (India) Private Limited (President: P. Krishna Murthy), another local subsidiary in India, has been providing total logistics services, including air/ocean forwarding, domestic transportation, warehousing and distribution, as a primary contact point for customers, while Nittsu Logistics India has been engaging in domestic transportation outsourced by Nippon Express India.
With a view to further strengthening domestic logistics business functions to deal with growing demand for domestic logistics in line with economic growth and the increasing sophistication/diversification of customers' needs, Nittsu Logistics India is being positioned as a company specializing in domestic logistics.
Nippon Express India will consequently be expanding its total logistics services, especially air/ocean forwarding.
The Nippon Express Group as a whole is committed to developing its supply chain management to meet the full range of customers' needs and requirements, from procurement to sales and maintenance, by strengthening its domestic transportation network in India further and enhancing its transportation services.
